Helitour Oy is one of the leading flight training organizations for professional helicopter pilots in the Nordic Countries. The company offers training services both to public and private sectors. The Finnish Civil Aviation Administration licensed Helitour Oy as the first flight training organization meeting fully the demanding requirements of Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) for training courses.
Virtually all notable helicopter operators in Finland currently employ pilots, who have received their training fully or partly in Helitour Oy. Accordingly most Finnish civil helicopter flight instructors have received their ratings by attending to Helitour Oy’s courses.
Helitour Oy’s flight training services cover most licencies and ratings – all fully JAR-FCL 2 compliant.
Additionally Helitour Oy offers broad range of recurrent training services for pilots: external load, water operations, night flying or flying in minimum weather conditions, SAR-operations, reindeer and cattle mustering etc.
In 1999 Helitour got a three year contract from Finnish army to train new helicopter pilots.
In addition to its Finnish operations Helitour Oy through its Estonian subsidiary co-operates with Estonian organizations. This co-operation has resulted commercial pilots for the Estonian Defence Forces and Estonian Border. Helitour has also trained pilots to Latvia.
